Dear friends and colleagues,
On behalf of the scientific and local organizing committees, I am pleased to invite you to participate in the 13th International Symposium on Neural Transplantation and Repair (INTR13) that will take place in Beijing International Convention Center, Beijing, China, September 18-21, 2015. The Congress will be hosted by INTR Council, and organized by Capital Medical University and Beijing Institute for Brain Disorders.
The theme of the Congress is “Translational Neural Repair - from experimental studies to clinical trials for the treatment of neurological diseases”. The Congress will deal with the most recent research on various aspects of neural transplantation and repair of neurological disorders including Parkinson’s disease and Alzheimer’s disease, and bring us updates with developments in both basic science and their application to clinic. The Congress will provide a platform for a large faculty of world-wide distinguished scientists, clinicians with a wide range of expertise to address key issues in this translational field. The scientific program will be composed of plenary lectures, special symposia, and both oral and poster platform presentations. There will also be an educational program, dealing with the various aspects of neurological disorders. The Congress will continue “INTR tradition” encouraging the junior members of the research teams including students and post-doctoral fellows from all over the world to attend the Congress with travel awards.
Beijing is the capital of China. The city's history dates back three millennia, and Beijing has been the political center of the country for the past eight centuries. The city is renowned for its imperial palaces, walls, temples, and parks, for example, the Forbidden City, Great Wall, Summer Palace, and Temple of Heaven. Autumn is the best season in Beijing. In September, the weather is usually cool, sunny and comfortable. We hope that you will take enough time to enjoy the visitor attractions in Beijing as part of your Congress experience.
We sincerely hope that you will be able to participate, as your contribution to this Congress will help make this event a success.
We look forward to seeing you in Beijing, 2015.
Best regards,
Wei-Ming Duan
